Ester Parasková’s artistic practice explores the dynamic tension between spontaneous expression and meticulous precision. Her paintings are defined by bold gestures, organic forms, and a deliberate use of color. Working within thematically distinct series, she portrays reality not as critique but as an unembellished, raw reflection. Parasková’s creative process is deeply influenced by the environment of her studio, where traces of dust, footprints, and pigments organically become part of the canvas. In this way, the act of painting merges with its physical surroundings. She harmonizes the unpredictability of expressive brushstrokes with the precision of intricate drawings, creating a dialogue between chaos and control. Central to her work is the concept of labor, shaped by her early experience in an automotive factory.

Ideas of repetition, mechanical precision, and the erosion of individual authorship pervade her methodology. This is reflected in her repetitive, yet meticulously crafted motifs, which challenge traditional notions of artistic creation. In her recent works, Parasková deconstructs and reimagines iconic cultural imagery, particularly Disney characters. By fragmenting and abstracting these figures, she shifts the focus from glossy consumer aesthetics to the invisible labor that underpins them. Her large-scale paintings and drawings amplify the ideological subtexts, revealing the complex narratives embedded within mass-produced visual culture.
